Believe it or not sometimes a dog sweater is dog-gone handy. I used to think that sweaters were just to dress up the little guys. That is until Robin saw her first snow. Berry and Wanda loved it; Robin wouldn’t go near it (this was before Sarah and Dresden’s time). We tried coaxing, throwing treats out, and trying to drag her, but nothing worked. I knew that she had to go to the bathroom. Really not wanting to have messes in the house, I grabbed a sweater that a friend had made for Robin about a year before. Well she loved it. She was smiling ear to ear – even my husband noted how happy she looked. I was truly amazed and relieved that we finally got her out the door.

How to measure dog sweater size

• Most sweaters are sized by length. To get the length: measure from your dog’s collar to the base of his tail.
• Sometimes you will need to know neck size. This is the distance around the outside of your dog’s collar.
