Grass is a normal part of a dog's diet. Because we feed our dogs prepared dog food, they have no roughage in their diet and so they eat grass.
Sometime dogs may eat grass when they have an upset stomach in order to cause vomiting. "The grass will bind with what is upsetting your dogs stomach. Then the grass acts as an irritant and causes your dog to vomit, bringing up the bad material at the same time.
Sometimes dogs just look like
they are eating grass, but are just smelling the grass checking out
smells left behind by other dogs and animals.
For dogs who don't have enough grass in their diet there is : Barley Dog, the "Original" Barley Grass Supplement for Dogs.
